Can I solve a bedbug infestation myself?

We can be brief here: with the knowledge and resources available to private individuals, this is practically impossible.

I haven't traveled, is it possible that I have bedbugs?

The chance is small, but it is possible that bedbugs can come from adjacent homes (such as apartments). They may also have traveled in a visitor’s bag or in your own bag from work.

If I have you treat my bedbug infestation, will I be rid of my infestation immediately?

In a situation we describe as an ‘early-stage infestation’, which is active for a maximum of 1.5 months, the success rate of the first treatment at RACO is between 90 and 95%. We always inform upfront that follow-up care may be necessary after 4-6 weeks.

Can I still visit people if bed bugs have been detected in my home?

Yes, that is correct. However, it is important to move as few items as possible out of the infested room. Travel movements should preferably be done using plastic bags, and no bags or suitcases may be taken out of the infested room.

What do bed bug eggs look like?

The bed bug eggs look like grains of rice, but are about 1/5 of that size.
